The backstory to this album (the Dyatlov incident in Russia in 1959) is fascinating. The music succeeds at creating a mood of mystery, but leaves the story to the listener's imagination. This album expects a lot from the listener, as long sections have wind noise and not much variation. But I keep coming back to it and listening again. It just works!
